Led by the in-house design team, the AccuWeather App Store presence was transformed into an evergreen, scalable system—refreshed seasonally and optimized for both iOS and Google Play audiences.
Each quarter, 650+ creative assets were developed across 14+ localizations. Strategy, copy, and design were seamlessly aligned with carefully curated seasonal photography—capturing the most beautiful themes of each season—while showcasing new and existing app features with clarity and sophistication.
The result was a cohesive, detail driven visual system that elevated the brand, increased discoverability, and set a new standard for seasonal consumer app marketing, clearly distinguishing AccuWeather in a highly competitive landscape.
2020 - 2023
In close partnership with the analytics team, seasonal and annual campaigns were developed to expand and engage AccuWeather’s app user base.
Deliverables included landing page enhancements promoting the Premium+ app subscription tier, integrated digital advertising across mobile & web—spanning proprietary platforms and Google ad campaigns—and feature-driven seasonal video content for the AccuWeather TV Network.
All user acquisition assets were designed as an extension of the App Store creative system, ensuring a cohesive and consistent cross-platform brand experience.
2020 - 2023
To accompany seasonal assets curated for experiences outside of the mobile AccuWeather app, additional seasonal creative & mobile app support were executed, such as the in-app upsell screen experience for the Premium+ subscription offering, the onboarding experience for first-time app users, and the in-app guides served by Pendo.
These guides helped to deliver carefully crafted & personalized messaging to new and existing users, calling out new features, navigation techniques, general app updates, tips & tricks, and more. Accompanied by branded imagery highlighting detailed device UI, these guides helped to create a seamless user experience.
Static imagery + animations were also designed and templated for usage across AccuWeather social platforms, showcasing seasonally relevant features and messaging. Additional design exploration includes iconography, the newly adopted brand-centric seasonal color palette, and an additional ‘just for fun’ graphic highlighting AccuWeather’s tagline, Superior Accuracy.
